The West Suffolk Operational Hub (WSOH) is being developed to meet the changing needs for waste management in west Suffolk. The state-of-the-art facility is bringing a number of operational services together on one site to future proof waste services against the anticipated growth in population and housing in the area.
The development will include a waste transfer station, split level household waste recycling centre, vehicle depot and re-use shop facility.
The project is due for completion by the end of 2019.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is a national initiative set up by the construction industry. Sites and companies that register with the scheme are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The scheme focuses on any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. You can find further CCS details on the ‘CCS’ page.
Being safe is of paramount importance to all of us at Morgan Sindall Construction. We see it as critical that our people, and those who are affected by our activities, benefit from an incident free environment. We operate a 100% Safe policy on all our projects where we aim to exceed legal safety requirements.
We will be implementing green travel plans to ensure the most environmentally friendly travel to and from the site. The scheme will also include responsible sourcing of local supply chain partners and materials.
You can find out more about the companies involved in the project in the 'working with...' banner at the bottom of the page. They include Suffolk County Council, West Suffolk Councils, Concertus, Currie & Brown and Pick Everard.
